Welcome to Celina ISD Athletics!

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The purpose of Celina ISD Athletics is to grow boys and girls into men and women of integrity, excellence, empathy, and grit who will be champions in everything they do, changing the world for good. Honesty, no drugs and alcohol, respect women/men, and respect other cultures/beliefs are our core values. Our athletes are required to follow one rule. Be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there, doing what you are supposed to be doing to the best of your ability.

Athletics is a privilege, not a right. Accountability and expectations are held to a very high standard. A Celina Bobcat represents a student-athlete of good character that leads on and off the field/court.  All student-athletes are expected to have good attitudes at all times with coaches, teammates, and as well as in the classroom with teachers. Student-athletes are held to expectations and guidelines outlined in the Athletic Code of Conduct, CISD Student Code of Conduct, and Student Random Drug Testing policy. Athletes are students first. UIL No Pass / No Play means students must have a 70 or above in all classes at grade check time.

COMMUNICATION

Celina ISD Athletics utilizes SportsYou as the main communication platform. You can find information and specific group codes here. Please download the SportsYou App and join the sports groups pertaining to you. Everyone should join the Bobcat Nation group.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION/ATHLETIC REGISTRATION

The University Interscholastic League (UIL), the governing body of public school athletic programs in Texas, requires specific documentation on file before a student-athlete is allowed to participate. CISD Athletics utilizes electronic forms handled via our Rank One software for most required documentation.  These forms must be completed yearly.  Please follow this link   https://celinaisd.rankone.com/New/NewInstructionsPage.aspx and complete the online forms (3 sections).  You will need your student-athlete student ID for this. There will be instructions on how to complete the forms on the Rank One webpage that the link takes you to.

UIL also requires a current athletic physical to be on file before participation. This athletic physical must be documented on the UIL physical form. The medical history portion of the form will need to be completed before having your primary care physician complete and sign the physical examination portion. Completed forms can be scanned and uploaded to RankOne using the link above.

Student-Athletes are also required to complete a baseline ImPACT Test. These baseline test results are used, if ever needed, to help determine the severity of a concussion and help determine return-to-play decisions. The test can be accessed at https://www.impacttestonline.com/schools (customer code c741aa94c6). The athlete will need to complete the test preferably using a computer with the pop-up blocker turned off.

High School Athletes Only - UIL requires a Previous Athletic Participation Form to be completed by any athlete moving into the district. A parent will need to come by the Athletic Complex to complete this form. You can get more information by emailing athletics@celinaisd.com.
